The Landscapes

Tuscany is a perfect landscape of changing colors, and endless gorgeous rolling hills.  We’ll cycle on very small sinuous roads from village to village, in what is still a very agricultural region.  We’ll pass wheat fields, Olive trees, Vines and small vegetable gardens: all of the basic ingredients for great Tuscan Food!

The Food

Famous all over the world, Tuscan food is simply never as good as in Tuscany.  The ingredients are simple and few, but fresh and of extraordinary quality: flour, olive oil, garlic, basil, tomatoes, wine and cheeses…  Famous for its ‘Home Cooking’ style, there are upcoming chefs offering new ideas and presentations as well.  Tuscan also take advantage of their mountain ranges for game and wilder foul, but the meat of choice is the thick grilled Florentine Steak.

The Wine

Tuscan wine is without doubt Italy’s most famous:  Chianti, Montepulciano, Brunello di Montalcino, Super-Tuscans, San Gimignano.  Extremely varied in style, ancestral as well as revolutionary, the wine history in Tuscany is perfect to learn among Italians and glass in hand!  We’ll have plenty of opportunity to stop and taste from the very best vineyards in the region.

The Hospitality

The Tuscan love to receive!  They love large tables, hugs, and reunions of all kinds!  They are amazing hosts, and will make you feel like a long lost family member everywhere you go.  Of course, it helps when you’re there with guides they know!

The History, Art & Architecture

Home of the Italian Renaissance, Tuscany has become a work of art in itself.  No other place on earth has such a wealth of historic sights and artistic masterworks.  Florence is the most famous, but localities all over Tuscany have incredible works on display: Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Grosseto, Lucca, Prato…
